WHY THE ARTISTRY TOUR
Artistry-focused Scoring
Most competitions weight tricks and difficulty the highest. Ours doesn't. Artistry, which covers performance and musicality, is our highest-scoring category. Score sheets are built to reward creativity and expression, not just execution.
Improv Contest
Every dancer registered for the competition can join our Improv Contest. Music is chosen on the spot, so dancers have to think on their feet and show what they've got. Two age divisions: 11 and under, and 12 and over. Top performers in each division win a cash prize and a swag bag.
Instant Scores
No waiting around. After each performance, the total composite score goes up on screens near the stage right away.

Free Media
Every routine gets professionally photographed and filmed, and studios get the files at no extra cost. No add-on packages, no surprise invoices.
Premier Judging Experience
We partner with IMPACT DANCE ADJUDICATORS (IDA) so every studio gets top-tier judges. Expect fair scoring and detailed, useful critiques.
Assigned Dressing Rooms
Each studio gets an assigned dressing room, so dancers, teachers, and parents always know where to go. Boys have their own separate space.

Holly Shipley-Canter
Owner & Founder
Holly’s journey in dance began at the tender age of two, igniting a passion that has driven her ever since. By six, she was competing, and she continued to do so until she was nineteen. Holly pursued her love for dance and business at Indiana University, earning a BS in Business with a minor in Dance.
As an adult, Holly shared her passion by teaching and choreographing at local studios and performing as a company dancer with Create Freedom Arts Projects and Meraki in Indianapolis. Now residing in Indianapolis with her husband, Holly has turned her lifelong dream into reality by founding The Artistry Tour.
Holly believes that competitive dance is a powerful tool for developing courage, grit, passion, sportsmanship, and creativity. With The Artistry Tour, she aims to give back to the dance community by creating a nurturing and inspiring platform where dancers and choreographers can truly shine and showcase their artistry. Holly's vision is to foster an environment where creativity and performance are celebrated, providing a safe and empowering space for all.
