DANNY DWAINE WELLS II

Danny Dwaine Wells II is an alumnus of both Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and San Diego State University’s BFA Dance program. Danny Dwaine currently calls Chicago IL home; but being ATL born LA raised and being a former resident New York City, he shows versatility and style in a multitude of dance techniques. He is honored to be the choreographer and an adjunct faculty member of the Carthage Musical Theatre BA program. Danny Dwaine has won numerous awards for his choreography in theaters across the country. He’s trained with The Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre (Summer Intensives), Diavolo Dance Theater, and Zenon Dance School, and has worked on such projects or with such artists as Fatima Robinson, Charm Ladonna, Ciara, Courtney Miller, Katie Spelman, Ka-Ron B. Lehman, Matthew Rushing, Robert Marra, Jerry Mitchell, Titus Burgess, Chris Brown, Queen Latifah, Raja from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 1, and Alex Newell.

GINA DAUGHERTY
Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre
Gina Daugherty is a performer and choreographer based in NYC and Chicago. She has studied at Peridance Capezio Center, the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center, Joffrey Ballet School Jazz & Contemporary LA, and Axis Connect NY/LA.
Gina’s associate choreographer credits include The Elf On The Shelf (National Tour), The Quiet World (Jerome Robbins Foundation), Newsies), Saturday Night Fever, Evita, Noël (National Tour), and BCEFA charity events. Gina has assisted Brooke Wendle with the Broadway Dance Center AIM Invitational and Lipstick Diaries NYC Intensive. Her favorite performance credits include Dance Captain/Swing of the 2nd National Tour of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, DanceBreak 2019, Battery Dance Festival, Danza Heights Festival, and the Broadway Dance Center ProSem Alumni Showcase. Most recently, Gina performed with Giordano Dance Chicago for their 61st season performing works by Mia Michaels, Liz Imperio, and Autumn Eckman. Gina loves adjudicating and teaching around the country while spreading her love of dance!

JOEY FONTANA
Musical Theatre, Commercial Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical
Joey, originally from Sterling Heights, MI, graduated from Oakland University Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre Performance. After growing up in the world of competitive dance, he began teaching as a senior in high school, and has since taught and choreographed for studios across the country for the last 11 years. His choreography and teaching has been awarded and recognized on a regional and national level. While in college, he choreographed the programs main stage musicals, including Assassins, The Scarlet Pimpernel, & The Theory of Relativity. Following graduation, he became a Guest Professor of Dance for the university, and later signed with the Daniel Hoff Talent Agency in New York City. His professional theatre credits include the national tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot!, and regional productions of Shrek: The Musical, La Cage Aux Folles, The Producers, White Christmas (Barter Theatre), Something Rotten! (Phoenix Theatre Company), Disney’s Newsies (Fireside Theater), Oklahoma!, Anything Goes (Porthouse Theatre), A Chorus Line, Little Shop of Horrors (The Huron Playhouse), and Deck The Halls (Busch Garden Williamsburg). Currently, he is an adjudicator, emcee, and convention class instructor for several national dance competitions, including StarQuest, Turn It Up, & Elite Dance Challenge. He is also teaching/choreographing throughout Chicago, IL where he recently just relocated.
